Shelters for experiencing nature up close
Shelters are beautiful and rough and can be perfect if you like spending time outside in the garden or somewhere else you would like to experience nature up close. Start by ordering the sturdy and durable shelter with or without roofing felt. You receive the shelter as an easy DIY project, as some parts are already assembled or cut. However, you do need to work a little, but we promise you it will be worth your while! Your family will love this hide-out, and you will be spending a lot of time outside from now on. Before you can start decorating the shelter with blankets and more, we recommend that you start by placing the legs of the shelter on flagstones or pole shoes to avoid the wood getting in direct contact with the soil. Even though larch wood is strong and durable, damp soil will deteriorate the wood sooner than necessary. Another solution is to build a patio and place the shelter on it – then you have a patio in front of the shelter and avoid mud right outside the shelter. Just be sure to make room for a bonfire!

The shelter is made of Danish high-quality larch wood, which has natural protection, so you do not have to use wood protection. However, the wood will turn grey if you do not treat it. Use some transparent wood protection or oil and keep the hue of the wood beautiful for much longer. On the other hand, many prefer the unique grey colour of the weathered larch wood, so it is up to you. As a minimum, you should use an eco-friendly fungicide to avoid rot and fungal infestation.
