Dancover has everything for your Oktoberfest – except beer!
Oktoberfest is an annual recurring event that might be biggest in its homeland Germany and especially in Bavaria. The Oktoberfest has spread out to many other parts of the world, both around Europe but also as far away as Canada and Brazil. In Europe, the first Oktoberfest was October 12, in 1810, at Theresienwiese in Munich in relation to the celebration of the wedding between crown prince Ludwig and the princess Therese. That means that there have been Oktoberfest almost continually for over 200 years. The original Oktoberfest in Bavaria, in the south of Germany, is now visited by app. 6 million people! The huge party has since the beginning been expanded to last from the end of September to the first weekend of October.
