Benefits of planters in polyethylene

planters - plastic

When you think of planters, one initially thinks about the traditional terracotta planter of clay. In recent years, a new material, however, has gained ground in the market. Polyethylene is the name of this material and it is perfectly suitable as raw material for outdoor planters.

You can say that planters in polyethylene are imitations. When you get up close and move your fingers over the material surface, you will know by sight and sense of touch that the material is different from clay. Still, polyethylene planters are excellent alternatives to clay planters.

Here are five reasons:

1) Planters in polyethylene are cheaper than clay pots. If you are cost-conscious (and most of us are) and still want to enjoy the benefits that plants in outdoor pots, the polyethylene planter is a sound and affordable alternative.

2) Polyethylene is shock resistant. The planter will not smash if you are unlucky to shock it. It will not shard like a pot of clay. Polyethylene has flexible and resilient properties similar to plastic.

3) Planters in polyethylene withstands extreme temperatures between -50 and 60⁰C. You do not need to move in the planter when winter comes, unless you live on the moon.

4) The planter withstands UV light and it does not bleach even when exposed to direct sunlight throughout the summer.

5) The planter weighs just 1/10 of the traditional terracotta planter. Polyethylen is a super durable, flexible, but also light material. To refurbish the terrace, you not longer have to hire a crane to move around your planters.
